The Role of Eosinophils and Basophils in

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

- A basic science study involving procedures with human participants

Welcome to our study website!

Urticaria is a condition associated with an itchy nettle rash (termed weals or hives) that can be very debilitating. We invite you to participate in a research study aimed at understanding more about why these itchy weals develop in the skin.

 â€‹

  • Do you have recurrent hives?

  • Are you aged 18 – 80?

  • Do you want to participate in a research study to find out more about this condition?

We are looking for participants with chronic spontaneous urticaria (daily or almost daily weals for at least 6 weeks) to take part in our study. The study is ethically approved, and led by Dr Stephen Till at Guy’s Hospital, London.

Compensation of £150 will be paid for time, travel and inconvenience

If you are interested in participating, please contact Dr Alison Sears, Clinical Research Fellow, on Alison.sears@kcl.ac.uk
